Does anyone know why at certain times an exs instrument will makie a clicking
audio noise while playing it. Its not the sample. And the click is always
different. Sometimes its not there at all. Its freakin me out as a
deadline is looming.

Set-up: Mac g4 867
OS X, Logic platinum 6.1, AW 8 card, Unitor 8 MKII

Could it simply be a matter of buffer size? Set the buffer to a
larger size in Audio & Hardware settings.

I've had that problem too.
I found that it was caused by RF interference from my mobile phone.
Switch off phone, or move it out of range worked for me.

Do you have this problems only with XS-instruments, or generally using
the AW8?
I have the same noise-problem with an Audiowerk 2 Card under OSX.
There's a notice on the Emagic driver download section, that AW8 and
AW2 cards with an older Chip have this noise problems, and it probabelz
cant be fixed. (...shit).

I've had this happen occasionaly. Try setting the attack time just
slightly above being totally at the bottom of the scale. I have
found this solves it most of the time. It just has to be at a non
zero level.

I'll bet that this is the problem -- if the click is on the initial
transient. I had this too. Set in the group settings a 1 instead of a
zero for the attack parameter. The EXS envelope pops open zeher zeher
schnell and the click is the result of this.
