LAM merge instruments

2001-04-01 by Martin Karlegard

Hey,
I would like to know if it is possible to merge two or more instruments in
to one.
I've looked in the manual but I can't find anything. I have converted the
ultimate piano collection for Akai. I would like to merge the soft dynamic
piano (vel 0-89) with the loud one vel (90-127). Or is there a way to play
two tracks in the EXS at once.
Any one?

Mardyk

Myself i am not certain how to do it but i know that you can. Check the
structure of the samples in the sampler instruments that come on the EXS24
cd. They are triple layered. Use Zones. Choose the velocity thet you prefer
for each sample and assign ther different velocity groups each to a group. I
think that is how it is done.
Good luck
Lee

Hi Mardyk
Create a new instrument if you want to leave the old ones in tact. Select
all and copy the zones from the first instrument you want to merge. Then
paste them into the new instrument. Do this for each of the programs you
want to merge. Everything lands in the right place.
