bizster@...: >I was curios if anyone could suggest who offers a wide >range of instrument library for the EXS24. I'd suggest starting with the samples that come with the EXS. Rather than buying one so-so collection after that, my recommendation would be to add what you need piece by piece - even if you start with light versions of a company's full library. Sonic Implants would be a great place to start, first because their stuff is great, and also because they sell individual instruments you can download in SoundFont format (which the EXS24 can load). >Not Wav or >AIf files but complete instruments. Those days are long gone. You'll find that modern libraries are huge, impeccably detailed, and they stream off hard disks. That's why I talk about older-style "wide range of instrument" libraries being so-so by today's standards. You can also find free samples all over the internet. They're generally not going to be the same quality as the commercial ones. www.ilio.com and www.soundsonline.com are two distributors where you can shop a wide range of companies. -- Nick Batzdorf 818/905-9101, cell 590-9101, fax 905-5434
