Nothing new here.  It's the same thing that has been brought up over and 
over on this and many other mailing lists as well as Apple's own home 
page.  The G5's PCI(X) bus only supports 3.3v cards, not 5v cards.

Seeing as everyone's been aware of this since slightly before the G5 was 
released, and DigiDesign has an exchange program available, I don't 
think this is a "serious" problem for anyone.

I think you may find as well that if you buy a magma expansion chassis for
your G5, it will support the 5v required for older PCI cards such as digi and
motu ones. I'd double check with Magma before splashing cash, but I believe
this to be the case. A lot cheaper than a whole new PT rig!
