It's only the older, lowest-end, or totally outdated cards that won't work; the only current one is the MIX I/O, which you may as well replace with a MIX Farm card rather than a chassis. To me, EXPENSion chassis only make sense if you want to add more DSP cards to a Pro Tools rig. It would be silly to spend $1200 just too run a PTIII PCI card or something like that. Now, if you're running a MOTU system it could be a nuisance, because the PCI-424 cards that work in G5s aren't available separately and the regular PCI-424 and PCI-324 cards won't work in them. -- Nick Batzdorf 818/905-9101, cell 590-9101, fax 905-5434
