RE: [gsp-2101] How to get a good sound of Distortion using Combo amps?

I agree with the smiley, hate to admit it but it works.

It depends on your taste and situation. I was using overdrive for rhythms and grunge for leads for the longest time, but now I\ufffdve been using the tube distortions a lot. Sometimes what sounds good alone sounds much different in a band setting. Regardless of what people say I still gravitate to the smiley face EQ (or at least mildly amused EQ). I find using tube settings requires me to cut the low end of the EQ more.

Try using the clean channel of the amp with the amps controls set to almost flat as a starting point. Use the grunge distortion, try the lowest distortion setting and set to taste. The foundation of the tone is in the Digitech e.q. with the grunge.

I would like about some sugest, solution, coments from combo users.

P.S. I\ufffdm trying to do its distortions sound like any "classical"
distortion pedal and take adavantage of digital section (really amazing)
