I use a Robert Keeley DS-1. Set the tone to match your signal tone. Set your level around 10:00 o'clock. Set the distortion at zero or off. I crank my amp levels up high, and then turn the level output on the 2101 between 7:00 and 8:00 o'clock, this is like 1 or 2 level wise. You may need to adjust the level setting on the DS-1 to get your desired level. I am running through two JSX heads, and when I hit the DS-1, it really gives the signal a very excited boost.
