Re: Best power amp to use w/2101?

2007-02-15 by Gerry ODowd

Ebay has 4 auctions for 962's for sale listing around $50. That's
less than a set of tubes for your tube power amps.
Not as great sounding as the tube amps but made to sound sweet for
guitar, better than most other solid state amps. Lighter, smaller
less expensive and very reliable. This is great for a
spare/backup/practice rig, and you may even like it enough to use it
for the real thing!!!!
I did for a bunch of years in clubs, and mine is still ticking in my
studio. I got it cause I was sick of spending so much money replacing
power amp tubes.
