Re: [gsp-2101] How do you get a good "tube" amp sound?

2007-04-17 by J spazi

Thats a good question. Im my endless quest for great tone I found that Tube power amps and quality transistor distortion are better than the vise versa. I was wondering how the 2101 sounded with say a Mesa 50/50 power amp or something like that.

that rich, warm, glowing sound... as opposed to a harsher solid state
sound? I imagine proper EQ'ing? A tad of phaser on slow??

I've learned so much so far, and a BIG thanks to ya'll AND Glen. Mark
