Re: 2101 and 2112 in comparison

Wow pretty interesting replies here.I dont own a 2112 but i do won a
2101.Before that i had a Digitech RP-12 and i loved that unit a
lot.Honestly the analog distortion was the one that really interest
me.Recently i bought a GNX3000 to replace the more than a decade RP
unit. And what a disappointment it was....other than the cool
interface to PC the unit was really a lack lustre.
I was so frustrated that i went online and aquired the 2101.And DAMN
i believe this is a good investment ever sincethe RP12 uniot i bout a
decade ago!
Ok back to the topic, i'd like to know from those that own the 2112
or know the technical specs of the unit.Does the input voltage of the
2112 similar to the 2101?Does it have a PCB card to the input
transformer where you can shift the zero resistor to the input
voltage of your country mains.Cause when i first bought the 2101 it
was on 110V but i was told to open the unit up and resolder the
resistor to suit the supply voltage from where i am.From later ver
productions of the 2101 i understand that the other taps of the
transformer have been clipped so it can only work on one voltage that
it was intended to.
Thanks hope to hear from you guys!

(everyone hears things differently)no offense but i'll have to agree
with the digitech techs and most of the general population in defense
of the 2101's! ,by no means don't get me wrong both really good units!

opposite. The 2112 was "dumbed down" for musicians who didn't want to
spend the time programming the unit. It however has better sound
quality due to newer electronics. (Although the beloved 2101 sounds
awesome to my ears). The 2120/2112 have some way to mix solid state
and tube distortions though.

lacks the bottomline tone that the 2101 has(ie digitech went for more
bells and whistles and managed to screw up the intial most important
stuff (ie tone) in laymens terms? the 2101's are deffinately more
desirable even though they were made earlier than the 2101's

2101's w/ ppc (and 0 2112's)
