Hello,
I've got some other problem with my C1 controller.
When I use the footswitch for activating particular preset then the unit "remembers" the state of the expression controller (instead of the value stored in the preset parameters) and for e.g. the volume increases to the full level while the presets are set to match the level between the presets. I opened the controller and clean the dust, I have done a complete reset of the GSP2101 and the problem persist. It does not happen all the time and I think (but I'm not sure) that not all of the presets reacts in this way. Lets say that when I change continuously between two presets then half time the volume matches the position of the footswitch instead of the written value. I also tried to connect an external expression pedal and the problem still has been present with a use of external pedal instead of the built-in one.
My unit is 3.00a/20 MHz, PPC installed. I have never experienced such problem before. Some time ago the whole unit has crashed and the hard reset was needed. The unit was then serviced and setup according to the information from Dieter's page (test procedures).
Before I have had a controller that was worn a lot and I have recently replaced it with the controller in as new condition. The controller worked fine for 2 months and recently the problem appeared.
Could you please advice?
Cheers,
Filip

Tom:There are 2 steps to using an expression pedal to control a program parameter. You have performed only one step - pedal calibration. The other step is to link the expression pedal to a program parameter. Here's a copy of MIDIWizard's On-Line Help that describes this process:Assigning Control of a New Parameter to an Expression PedalFrom your program’s title screen, use the [Previous] or [Next] arrow buttons and the function keys [1], [2], or [3] to select the parameter you wish to link to the expression pedal. Next, press the [Link] button. At this point, your 2101’s LED displays the message “Select a Foot Switch”. Move your expression pedal to link it to the selected parameter. Your 2101’s LED confirms the new link.Press function key [2] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the full back toe-up pedal position. Press function key [3] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the full forward toe-down pedal position. The default values are the parameter’s minimum and maximum values respectively. If you want to invert the effect of your expression pedal, set the “Min Value” greater than the “Max Value”.It’s usually difficult to know what minimum and maximum values you should select at this point. After playing with the expression pedal for a while, you’ll want to change these settings. The help topic entitled “Changing Minimum and Maximum Foot Switch or Expression Pedal Settings” describes how to do this.Press the [Link] button to exit the link menu. Remember to press the [Store] button if you wish to save your updated program.Don't expect the expression pedal to control ANYTHING until you've performed the above process.----- Original Message -----From: chingwaySent: Wednesday, July 23, 2008 3:01 PMSubject: Re: [gsp-2101] control pedal
