You can get 5 pin DINs for computer use that likely have all 5 connected.

Thanks for all of the help to everyone!
The only one I have been able to find that says anything about all 5 being connected is the HOSA Midi Cable:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Hosa-MIDI-Cable-336000-i1440945.gc

http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSMID3

Is this one anyone would recommend?
I just listed this one because it is the first that I have been able to find that specifically states all 5 wired even though one is shielded.
I am not sure if brand dropping is allowed on here, I am just trying to not deal with the GuitCent people anymore.

Trying to just find the cable that ends my problems so I can get back to jamming!

Thanks For Everything Everyone!

> Like M M said you definitely need to have the needed and fully functioning DIN cable. I say fully functioning because many MIDI capable electronic devices actually use only 3 of 5 pins. This is why many MIDI cable manufacturers make 5 pin cables that actually only use 3 of the pins. There's also other types of DIN cables that have more pins but also have only some of the pins wired as well.
