The original pedal Digitech made for the original GSP2101 when came out was the 2101FC. I believe the Control 1 came out later. A few years after I had bought my original GSP2101 and the 2101FC (brand new) I had a switch start to act up on the 2101FC so looked into getting a new FC but they had changed to the Control 1 or discontinued the FC, I'm not sure. Anyway I just stuck with my original glitchy-switched FC, still have it to this day as a matter of fact.�
My point is maybe you can find the old manual for the 2101FC which might she'd some light on this. When I perused the C1's manual back in the day I vaguely remember it not being exactly identical to my FC yet still compatible with the GSP2101.�
I never really used my controllers for much more than patch changes & the expression pedal. Never used the set list feature either though I've always wanted to try it.�
Anyway just my thoughts on it as an original GSP2101er from the earliest of its days. Heck I've even still got my old GSP21, its predecessor. Now that thing was a joy to use and soooo easy to program just lacked the fullness of tone of the 2101! To this day I still wish the 2101 was as easy to program as the 21. Dang I'm kinda like a Digitech museum. lol.

As far as I know, the factory setting of switches 5 and 0 in banks 9 and 10 are "program up" and "program down". I'm sure that is written somewhere in manual (either 2101's or Control One's). You can set individual switches to do several things - see page 75, chapter 6 in the manual. But I guess you already know that ;-)

For banks 9 and 10, footswitches 1 through 4 and 6 through 9 operate as expected.� However, each press of switch 5 decrements the loaded program number and each press of switch 0 increments the loaded program number.� What’s more interesting, and useful, is this “scrolling” behavior is not restricted to the currently loaded bank.� Here’s an illustration of how you can put this to good use.
First, select bank 1 and footswitch 1 to load program 1. Next, press the Bank Down (Bypass) footswitch�to prepare to load bank 10.� Successive presses of footswitch 0 load programs 2, 3, 4 and up through bank 1 and then 11, 12, 13 and up through bank 2, bank 3, etc.� Footswitch 5 reverses the sequence back down to 1.� One more press of switch 5 loads either program 255 or 215 depending on whether or not you have a PPC-210 co-processor board installed in your 2101.
I don’t find this behavior documented anywhere in the owner’s manual and searching this forum didn’t come up with anything either.� Please let me know what your experience is.
