Re: [gsp-2101] the "dual preamp" 2101 connection method

I have already started a forum on this on the digitech site, I
have copied it to this mail. Hoppe it can be useful.

This is very simple. You probably have a head amp or a combo
wich has it's own pre. What you have to do is connect you
effect send to a Y cable tha will split the signal in 2 equal
signals and connect one to (say) the left return of the 2101
and the other do the input of your combo or head amp. Then
connect the amp's effect loop send to the other return of the
2101, in this case the right one. Then you plug you output of
the digitech to the effect loop return of your amp and voila
you have 2 pre totaly independent that you can mix using
algoritms that can do that (mail me if you want some diagrams
on algoritms that use dual pre) and you can also control de
master volume whith the output level control of the 2101. It
sound great if you have good power amp (valves are the thing)
and a good pre (valves are the thing). Hoppe it can be useful.

Remember that the 2101's loop leaks so you are alway gona hear
a bit of 2101's pre.
I have just bought a ppc-210 and artist software from Dieter
Waechter and I'm waiting to start some serious argoritms to
make the 2101 work just like the 2120.

One advice:

 - Use the 2101 stereo noise gate to gate the clean sound, and
add another one to the algoritm to gate the distorced sound.

Any thing just say
