I'm considering buying a better power amp for my
2101.
At the moment I mainly run the 2101 straight into the
board.
(I do small gigs for a living)
But sometimes I like bringing my Marshall 4X12 to get
some vibration if you know what I mean! ;-)
I currently have the Marshall Valvestate which does the job
but after hearing my stuff through
a tube power amp I couldn't believe the difference in
tone!!
(this was just using a Fender Deville for power by-passing
it's preamp)
I don't need HUGE power, just something that sounds great
& can do small/medium gigs with.
Oh and for recording as well.
There's a local who's selling a Marshall 9000 series or
something.
50 watt stereo tube for $300 CAD which is about $200
US
He said it was an older Marshall?
These any good, fair price?? I think he'll go lower
too.
