What programs are you using? I have used cakewalk with no problems at
all, but then I used a P200.

Subject: [gsp-2101] received bad data in system dump

I got a gsp 2101 LE three weeks ago - and i am a new member in this
group.

I am happy with the sound and possibilities of this device and
worked a lot to create new sounds. I decided to save the work and
bought a midi connection cable to my pc, got several sysex dump
programs to manage the task.

Here is my problem:

I was successful in transfering the system dump to the pc. The size
of the file matched exactly the size indicated on the display on the
gsp 2101. I compared the file structure with an hex-editor to sysex-
files loaded from the net - and it seems ok!

I can not reload the system dump back to the gsp - after transfering
the data, the gsp comes up with the message 'received bad data in
system dump - resetting...'. And it really resets the system!

Could that be a timing problem? I use an 2GHz PC with Windows XP and
an ordinary sound card with joystick adapter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rainer
