Been a while since I've done it but go to the view menu

View>sysx

Then click the 'receive bank' button (look like an arrow pointing
downward in cakewalk 9)

A dialog pops up -  select 'you start dump on instrument'

Cakewalk waits...

Go to the 2101 and start the dump...don't even ask me on that...probably
in the midi button menu somewhere, or the utility....

Restoring to the 2101 is basically a reversal of the process.

Sorry I couldn't be more detailed, maybe someone else can help out

Also I believe backups can only be restored to the same 2101 software
version they came from ...
