2101 with JMP-1

I want to connect my newly bought Marshall JMP-1 with my GSP 2101. 
Can anyone tell me what is the best way to do that. FX-loop? Or first 
trough the JMP-1? I don't wanna loose the volume-optien in the 
expressionpedal.
