I'm not sure if this is the problem but don't forget that little Lithium battery. When that needs to be replaced your GSP will do all sorts of strange shit. Mine lasted around 7 years although I believe they can last up to 10.

Subject: [gsp-2101] My New 2101

Hello all,
I just bought a 2101 off Ebay and received it yesterday. The packing
job wasn't the best but adequate I assume. Forgive me if am asking a
retorical question here but I have searched all 428 messages looking
for an answer to my issue before I posted.....So here goes. It is
circa '95 that has been upgraded to Artist 3.00 a software, single
PPC. When I turn it on it goes through the startup procedure and
then sometimes loads to program 1, other times P80 (flashes), 240
and so on. If it does happen to laod to program 1 as soon as I grab
the dial and turn it to ascend to 2,3 and so on it does this
computer code thing, says "I need a PPC" on P3 and then proceeds to
reboot? If I do a factory reset all is well until I change
parameters on any program then as soon as I shut it off and turn
back on again the same routine starts all over again. This is
actually my second 2101, I stupidly sold off my first one for a POD
Pro....Yea I know what the hell was I thinking!!!

If any if you folks could offer some advice as to where to proceed
from here I would greatly appreciate it. I haven't let the seller
know as of yet because I wanted advice first and then I would
proceed with either him or UPS for damage to the unit....

Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,
Kevin Schertell
