Group- Links

2001-06-26 by Dieter Waechter

Hi to all.
There is some confusion about the 2101- Groups. I hope I can explain.
There are 5 (!) GSP 2101-groups at the net.
Group1:
Link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gsp-2101
eMail: gsp-2101@yahoogroups.com
Works fine.
Group2:
Link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gsp-users
eMail: 2101@...
or eMail: 2101@...-dod.com
Important:
- You MUST subscribe from the digitech site- or the mails won't arrive! (http://www.digitech.com/)
- The mails take a very long time till they arrive at that list. Sometimes they never arrive.
- The most people mail to this group, although the list doesn't work good.
Group 3:
Works fine, too
Group 4:
eMail: does anybody know???
A dead list? I wonder, because there is a lot of developing- stuff to do!
Group 5 :
Link: http://clubs.lycos.com/live/Directory/CommunityHome.asp?CG=9hgjcf9lnba1382d004cf293tg
eMail: does anybody know???
A dead list!
I hope this helps.

Hey Tristan, I think I get it now, I thought you got my mail address from harmony central,
I just noticed the group 1 , group 2, group 3, link on your message. I thought
the mail group was all automated and you could not send messages, I have no idea
how this mail group thing works, I subscribed the other day and had no luck retrieving
the 2101 files. I do not know what a 2120 is, I have a digitech 2101 I just got
the other day and I am having a hard time linking the modules so I am on the
receiving side of the learning curve and am not the person to ask for info
at this time. If you understood the response from Dieter you are farther along
than I am. if you could give me some info about this group thing I would
really appreciate it, can I just send a regular message to the group using
the links for G1, G2, G3? I have some questions about linking modules, or should
I say I have no idea what I am looking at when in the link screen.

Hi Tristan.
If you use a footcontroller, it's very easy.... just link the EQ - values to a foot- switch. If you want to be quick: First adjust the EQ and all other parameters for the Clean Sound if you like them and write them down or make a SAP- protocoll. Then link all the changed parameter to a footswitch with the new value. Don't forget to save the EQ - values for the distored sound in the "Link- List".
If you don't use a footcontroller: Create 2 different programs.

Subject: 2101: A newbie question

Hi this is proababley a simple question for all you guys, but i was wondering. I have a patch for my distortion and i have it equalized really good, but when i take off the distortion the clean channel is really loud and really bassy, how can i change the equalizer just for the clean, i dont want to mess with my distorted eq's just when i take the distortion off i want a diffrent eq for my clean.
Thanks in advance.
