Hi all,

My FC1 midi cable has died (yes, I'm sure it is the cable, not the 
solder connection in the FC) so I'm going to replace it.  The FC1 
manual just says to use a "midi cable".  Reading the archives I came 
across a post saying to be sure to use a "6 pole DIN cable with 
screen" not a "5 pole DIN cable". 

I'm new to this and have absolutely no idea what any of this cable 
terminology means.  Would somebody please explain this?
