Thanks for the suggestion, guys. But I already use a BBE 482i between the 2101 and the power amp. I was thinking more on the lines of improving the source of tube distortion itself to where it would sound great even without a BBE. Then adding the BBE would make it even more awesome! :D And besides the RC filters, tube pre-amps (including the 2101) usually have voltage dividers between amplification stages to lower the signal to around 1/5 to 1/2 before going to the next stage.
