James, I also replaced fairly recently my ART X-15 controller for the FCB. It's working nicely. If you want to calibrate the exp pedals (I didn't have to), read the FCB manual for instructions. But on the other hand, check the following: ON THE FCB: - Pick the patch number you want to use, probably matching that on the GSP. - Enter edit mode by pressing and keeping for 3 seconds the 'down' pedal. The green edit led should go on. - Press the'up' pedal. You should see those controllers currently programmed lighting up, represented by each one of the pedals. Some might be off. Most likely, 8 and 9 (indicating the exp pedals) should be on. - Press either 8 or 9, depending on which one you want to use. Press 'up' pedal (enter) - The two-digit red display shows the controller number currently selected. Change it if you want (use the exp pedal to toggle the value), if not, just leave it as is, doesn't matter much. - Press 'up' and you get to the LOW value. Make sure it's 0 (exp pedal again). - Press 'up', you get to the HIGH value. Make sure it is 127. - Press 'up' again twice, set-up is complete. Now keep 'down' pressed for three seconds to get out to normal operation. ON THE GSP: - Select the patch you want. - Enter the MIDI edit mode (MIDI key on the front panel) - Navigate to LINK (hit 'next' once). Press '1' to link the parameter selected. - Use the selector to toggle the controller as to show CCxx, xx being the same number that you had on the FCB. - SAVE!!! It should work now (this was all by memory, hope I didn't forget any step).
