Hallo Klaus!
1. ja-(I mean- Yes!) There are different possibilities:
- a) replace the 15 unused patches with a small patch. (no digital...)
- b) replace the 15 unused patches with factory patches.
- c) store 15 of the 85 used patches to disc and delete them from your 2101.
you will have some free memory.

2. yes- you are right.

3. The english term of leiterbahn is conducting path :-) Why buy a new one?
replacing the switches is no problem- and the chables of the expped: solder
2 soldering-pins into the holes (Ltsttzpunkte)... then solder the wires to
the pins and shrink them in shrinking tube (in Schruumpfschlauch
einschrumpfen).- holds for eternity.

4. Yes- you can download them- or mail to me- I'll send them to you.

5. you can search the archives here:

Subject: 2101:program memory

hi dieter, and hallo everybody in this forum!

i own and use a 2101 (artist upgrade, PPC) for many years (95?) and a couple
of days ago, i found the 2101-listmail.

your contributions to this forum are very interesting, and you seem to know
a lot about this device.

many of the questions that came up over the years could have been solved
easier, if i had been on the web before. its always a pleasure to meet
someone whos both competent and helpful.

i would be very happy, if you could tell me something about the following
things (it`s not at all urgent!):

1. the program memory seems to be not sufficient for all 100 user patches.
ive stored about 85 programs (and a couple of algorithms, but they use a
different memory, as far as i know), and any time i want to store another
one, i get the message: out of program memory. can i do anything about that?

2. one algorithm is called "no digitals". but i suppose, theres not a
hardware bypass for the fx-section. so the signal will be digitalized
anyway, right? (unless i use the fx send as an output)

3. my fc2101 is kind of "worn out". i had to change the switches a couple of
times (and to fix the torn off cable of the expression pedal even more
often). so that it became hard to get a contact between the solder and the
leiterbahnen (dont know the english term). since you even seem to be into
hardware problems: is there a cheaper way than to buy a new one?

4. is there a free- or shareware windows editor for the 2101?

5. finally a question, that can probably be answered by anyone on this list:
i couldnt find out, how to get into the the mailing archive for the 2101
list. im sure i can learn a lot from that correspondence (and moreover i
wouldnt have to repeat questions that have already been discussed).

nonetheless im afraid this one be my last question for help..

thanks a lot in advance!

klaus
