Control One Crash and Reboot

Control One Crash and Reboot

2007-08-10 by john_lampson

I'm hoping someone can answer a question for me. I'm having a
problem with my Control One where the sound will disappear suddenly
and the controller display will say something like Digitech FC 2101.
I can hit a button on the controller and the sound will return. This
just started happening during a gig on Tuesday (way bad timing) and
continued at Thursday's rehearsal.

I've taken it in to a repair place and am prepared to play with a POD
2.0 as backup, but has anyone else experienced this? At first I
thought it was just a cable that got bumped. I unplugged the board
and started up the 2101 and it worked fine. I did not try a
different MIDI cable.

Any ideas? Also, if anyone has one of these and lives in the
Minneapolis/St Paul area, I'm playing a gig on August 18th and would
like to know if anyone could loan me their controller. I'd be more
than happy to get you a free ticket and buy you a drink in exchange
for the "loaner." The POD isn't bad, but what can you say about the
2101 other than hell yeah....

From the repair tech: I resoldered the cables between the boards but I
can't test anything further without the processor.

I've been playing more or less straight for about two hours and the
problem has not returned. Same MIDI cable. I think I'm good to go.
I've got a different question, but that will get posted separately.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
