having a ton of problems can anyone help me???

Ryan:

First, do a factory reset.
  1.. Power off your 2101
2.. Hold the function (access) key [1] while powering on your 2101
3.. Wait until the asterisk * appears in the top-left corner of the
display
4.. Release the function key [1]
5.. Press the Program Up button to complete the Factory Reset
If this doesn't fix it, replace the battery and retry the factory reset.
The battery is an Eveready CR 2032 or equivalent.

If this doesn't fix it, you have a hardware problem and you need to return
your unit to DigiTech. Don't forget to get an RMA number from DigiTech
before returning your unit -

Here is the exact problem. I did the upgrade prolly
about two weeks ago. everything has been fine. Now
all of a sudden when I change patches it will freeze
or it will start to make some crazy ass sounds. Any
other suggestions?

It sounds like symptoms of a weak battery. The stored patches may be corrupt due to that and the unit locks up due to the corrupted patches.

It looks like you only recently got your 2101. The battery's been in there for over 7 years. Time for a change. :)

Ryan,
If you also added the PPC-210 card you may have to seat it a little further. Good luck,

How can I tell if I have the PPC-210 card?? I have
replced the battery and still ther unit keeps wigging

for a little while.
