PPC-210

Hi all,
How can you tell if you need the PPC-210 upgrade. Can a PPC-210
already be installed from the factory or is this an after market add
on??? I have the GSP2101 Artist addition. So i was wondering if
anyone new how I can find out if I already have this installed.

Check the number of total programs you have. If it stops at 240, you do not have a PPC-210, and if it goes up to 255, you have a PPC-210 installed.

The PPC-210 only came factory installed on the GSP-2101 Limited Edition and the GSP 2101 Artist PRO.

The PPC-210 adds a 2nd S-DISC processor and allows for more complex programs and seamless switching (without the short break in the sound as you change programs). The two features are mutually exclusive. If you switch between complex programs that use both S-DISC processors, seamless switching cannot be achieved since there is no "free" processor to "pre-load" the new program and crossfade over.

Hi All,
Is the PPC-210 still available anywhere? Does installing the board
require any soldering or is it pretty straight forward, plugin then
move a jumper (he said hopefully)?

Thanks for any help.
David

Yes and his website has loads of handy info. I just used it to find how to reset my corrupted TSR24-S (which booted up and started working again after that and a new battery, yay!).

Also, I've been running the expansion from my TSR24-S (called a PPC-200) in my 2101 for over a year flawlessly. I suspect the PPC-210 and PPC-200 are one and the same.

Thanks Dieter,

I just bought it. And thanks for the encouragement all. I
had searched the group and found the earlier (2007) posts regarding
Dieters inventory and had thought for sure that it would be gone. Lucky
me!

Now... does anybody have any ideas regarding my earlier post about the
pump noise? Anyone have any suggestions on how I might reasonably
put a shield between me and my guitars? : )

Cheers!

David

I can Also attest to Deiter's PPC cards, I am running
a 2101 with an origional Digi card and in tandem I use
a TSR-24s with one of his cards in it, The PPC-200 and
210 are also the same, I have the origional manual
that came with the TSR upgrage, it is the PPC-200/210
installation guide,

David

I am assuming that you have already have shielding in your guitars (cavity & covers lined with copper or metal foil and connected to ground) and you are still getting interference?

Hari

Hi Hari,
Actually, I haven't tried lining the insides of my guitars. I did try
placing sheets of aluminum foil between my body and the guitars to no
avail. Although I have not tried copper foil. Also the aluminum
"shield" was not grounded so that might be something to try as well.

I am going to try your suggestion on my strat with the copper foil.
Thanks for your help! I'll post back as soon as I can try it.

Cheers!
David
