How to tell if a 2101 has the PPC 210?

How to tell if a 2101 has the PPC 210?

Is there any way to tell other than opening it up?

What's the difference between a 3.00a and a 3.00.00a? I thought I
read that the 3.00.00.a has the dual s disc. Is that right?

The "a" indicates a 20MHz control processor, otherwise it's a 10MHz.

With version 3, check the max number of programs - if it goes to 255,
the PPC-210 is present. Otherwise it stops at 240.
