Re: SDISC-II and the PPC-210..
2005-07-09 by James E. Simons
Dieter has been making PPC-210 cards for awhile now.. but the problem isn't the CPU, it's the ZIP package DRAM.. it's been out of production, AFAIK, and that is why it's hard to get Dieter's PPC-210s.. there is a person that is selling pulled PPC-210s on eBay, but they are expensive.. if you have installed the PPC-200 and it is functioning, then use it.. the problem with having a SDISC and a SDISC-II mixed, is that you can possibly get the "Cannon Shot", or popping sound when changing patches.. i have a SDISC and SDISC-II (on the PPC) in my 2101, and i don't have a problem with the popping.. i suspect that the PPC-200 and the PPC-210 are the same.. especially with the newer PPC-200s.. __________________________________ Discover Yahoo!
