i have a problem with my 2101

After a few months the sound starts to crackle in some of the programs, and other only when the dB meter gets past a certain height (close to or above the red). the only the that seems to fix is to do a hard reset, but then I lose all the ones I have created for myself... and after a couple of months it happens again. Any ideas?
