2101 Artist Patch transfer problem

2101 Artist Patch transfer problem

2005-09-22 by greg77f250351m

Ok I have a 2101 Artist with V3.00.00a software and the second Sdisc
installed, so I think I should be able to run the patches I have
downloaded for it.

I can back up my data without any problem, however when I go to push
a patch to my GSP it just sits there, My computer pauses and looks
like its sending data, however when I go to pull up the new patch its
the same old one that was there. When I back up my data I have to put
the GSP in the Midi Dump window and start the transfer. Is there
anything like that for a recieve? Do I need to be in bypass mode?
Should the patch Im trying to replace be the one up and active?

Ive tried the demo midiquest, Dumpster, Midi Wizard (which the loop
through test from the midi through port did work) Like I said I can
back up my unit no prob, so the Midi setings should be ok. If I can
remember the only seting that I had to guess at was the merger on the
unit (which I set to off)

Anyone got any Ideas?

Anyone know how to get the text out (sap) on a program which uses a
non factory algorithm? Punching everything in by hand is all I can do
right now, and a few of the programs I want use custom algs. (I cant
get factory or user alg patches to transfer)

Maybe you should save it at the 2101 once the transfer has
been done (I don't know if you got that far...) just like
when you edit a patch.
If you don't get that far you should take a look to the
midi receiving settings.
Good Luck!
