Well, I give up. After having the memory battery replaced, it now just puts up garbled characters on the screen or nothing at all kinda like when I got it. Too much time into this beast. I give up. If anyone out there in K5 land needs a parts unit or wants to deal with this thing let me know. I feel like $10 for the unit is fair and you pay the shipping (which is what will kill us both haha). I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place but I after coming so far and being shoved backward off a cliff, I am beyond p&(*$ed and just want this thing out of my house and hopefully into a home that will get something out of it.
