I can confirm Mo and lightsforsynths's K5 display works great as a drop in replacement. All you have to do is unplug/unscrew the original screen and inverter cables (one ribbon and a two wire inverter cable attached to display that you will probably cut) and plug this one in and you are back to being able to see the K5's screen in all of its backlit glory! Looks good and is highly visible for all of the editing. Best part is that it taps the board voltage so no more inverter needed (that is used for old EL display). I ended up de-soldering the noisy inverter completely and now have a K5 that looks and sounds great :D Thanks, Mo!If anyone has any questions about installation, I can answer :)
