Now that you ask it, I think I should upgrade my K5s before buying the 
lot for everyone, to see if it works, and it would not raise the final 
price for those upgrading due to customs taxes starting at $20.

My ROM programmer is a $70 kit to assemble(It doesn't come with the 
adapter and interface cable at that price) that can work with lots of 
different ROMs. I have to use it through the parallel port using the 
special hard-to-use piece of software(At least flash can be reprogrammed 
lots of times, trial and error is easily possible).
