K5synth

Welcome to the K5 synth group Leslie, it is an honor to have someone like
you join.

I would like to organize some people with programming skills to create a
program that would allow spectra to be moved between the K5, K5000s and K3
synthesizers. Perhaps you might be interested in a project like that?

Can you enlighten us a bit more about the Leiter wave function - I haven't
found any really good information on Leiter or his wave function on the net.

Several years ago, there was an excellent website with a message board 
dedicated to the Kawai K5000 synth called Eat At Joe's. Though the 
discussions there were geared primarily for the K5000 synth, I found a lot 
of useful information that I could apply to my K5. Lots of really neat and 
smart people posted there, and Leiter was one of them. He came up with this 
incredible equation for calculating harmonic spectra. He's since patented 
it.

Unfortunately, the Eat At Joe's board is gone now. But one of the respected 
regulars there, Jens Groh, has mirrored the archived posts. A few of these 
archived posts describe Leiter's equations. Rather than try to describe them 
myself, I'll just point you in that direction. :-)
