I have a k1 II, and all my drums/percution (sp) is all set up on the 'lower-end' of the keyboard. one note for one type of sound. It is my guess that the rythem porgram your using is setting the notes too high on the musical scale. drop the input to the synth an octive or two possiably 3, and see what you get on chanel 10. and well, I'm also thinking that a 'symbal' on the rythem program may not be a symbel on the kawai unless it was standaredized. hehhe... so your base drum may turn out to be a silly little triangle! reconfigering... I think that it might be eaiser to reconfiger the program with the rythem machine or what ever your using to fit to the kawai. if the keys are standardized it may only need to be transposed to the right octive. if not then you may need to change the insturments around in the rythem program to match up with the kawai. changing the kawai to match the rythem program I think would be a lot more work then needed. Question???? I posted a message on here like monthes ago about this and got no responce. what are you using for a computer with your kawai? and what midi tonebank and sound patch editor are you using?? I need one realy bad. the closer you can get to FREE the better. I"m poor! :( I had like 3,000 sounds for my kawai k1 II on my old amiga, but then I upgraded the software years ago and the sound editor didn't work after that. I still have the amiga, but no way to port them off to the IBM. another question. is a sound file a sound file a sound file regardless of what the editor your using? I have found the old amiga sound bank tone patch editor, and a way to decompress the files onto the IBM, within that archive there are 1,000's of tone patches and banks. I'm just wondering if I can use them with the IBM???? If and when I ever find a good sound editor for the IBM.
