hey, I just bought a used K4R and an X5D or whatever the K4R based drum module is. Only one PSU though and it's a 12 volt AC 350ma or something like that (don't recall the current actually but it was smallish). the AC thing surprised me. They work fine with the 12v ac output adapter. does it really need ac though or is it ignoring half the waveform and only needs dc power?

I need another psu for my second unit obviously which is why I ask.

By the way, got a crazy deal on the gear.

$280 canadian for:
K4R, X5D, Emu Orbit V2, behringer 16 channel level mixer (one rack space), behringer t1954 enhancer (I'm trying to sell that but we'll see, could be useful, looks cool anyway LoL), behringer tweakalizer, and m-audio x-session.

Scary deal huh? Anyway, so I'm new to the K4R but it and the emu orbit v2 both impress me a lot. the orbit has portamento which I love for leads, and it has nice filters, the k4r has one wicked filter though.... fairly edgy analog sounding unit.
