Re: [kawaisynths] replacing the battery on the k1m?

2012-12-30 by Ullrich Peter

Hi!

Replace the battery, set memory protect to off, buy a cheap USB MIDI Interface and
send the sysex files to the K1M.
The sysex files can be found on the Kawai US site:

Ciao

Betreff: [kawaisynths] replacing the battery on the k1m?

well it was bound to happen evidently, my battery croaked on me. My k1m had been sitting collecting dust for a few years and when I went to turn it on I was presented with a completely empty internal patch set :(
I have already taken the time to open it up and check the battery and wouldn't ya know it the dang thing's a soldered one. once I replace the battery ill need to reload the patchset any suggestion on how best to do that? I currently dont have a working midi interface as my old joystick port one dose not want to work with my current computer.
