Hiya,

If you have had this posted to you the disk drive cable may have  
worked itself free,so have to take the lid off and have a look,the  
other reason might be that the original floppy has been replaced with  
the wrong version or the wrong jumper setting?

I can't say I know much about the Q80,what is the size of the floppy. 
720kb or 1.44mb,I'd guess 720K?

Obvious question but if you are using 1.44mb disks have you covered  
the hole to make the DD think they are 720K?
