-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 DW8000 is sort of a bigger brother and (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have one) that it has a filter for each voice, plus two oscillator's per voice normally, and quite a few more waveforms. I think it uses the same filter as the Poly as well... the sounds should be similar as they are both digitally generated waves + analog filter. The DW will be more versatile but the Poly will perform differently and thus have it's own advantage, if small, somewhere in the world music. I would expect them to complement each other well if you use them right, in particular if you plan on playing live. Play around and see what happens; the Poly would probly make a great backup to a DW lead.
