Hi! To my knowledge there are two versions of the main PCB in the MK1. The original one did not have an extra battery for memory backup. The revised version did. I think they anticipated that people would install the main batteries which then are used for memory backup too. The EX800 always had the battery; and I am sure the MKll did.
