Hi!

To my knowledge there are two versions of the main PCB in the MK1.
The original one did not have an extra battery for memory backup.
The revised version did. I think they anticipated that people would
install the main batteries which then are used for memory backup
too.
The EX800 always had the battery; and I am sure the MKll did.

I could be wrong of course but I've always heard that when you take the 
batteries out all the patches go bye-bye.

The really early Mk1s had no battery back and relied soley one the main
batteries but the later ones had a mod done to place an internal board batt.
Thats what it says one Analogue heaven so it must be right.
Im getting a beat up poly 800 to spring life back into mine this week. The main
processor blow after the last owner fried it with the wrong power supply.

Has anyone here done the filter / resonance knob mods?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
