In addition to having delay instead of chorus, the Poly-800 II also had two parameters for EQ. And it allowed the sequencer to be put into repeat mode. The parameters were also shuffled a bit so parameter 41 didn't control the same thing on both instruments. My firsthand experience, many years ago, told me that the same settings programmed into the Poly-800 and Poly-800 II produced sounds that were not identical.
