Hi everybody!

Hi everybody!

2006-05-01 by davidmochen

Hi! I'm new to this group. I recently came across the MoogSlayer mod
on the Inet and managed to contact Atom Smasher. He mentioned this
place and I was delighted to find such a lot of info about modding
the good old Poly. To make a long story short, I retrieved my long-
lost old Poly from a friend of mine and will very soon add many of
the mods mentioned here (it will also go through some serious
cosmetic refinement). I will add:

* MoogSlayer
* FM-800
* 12dB/24dB switch
* Noise pot
* DCO 2 Detune pot (if I find it useful)
* VCF Audio Input

Wish me luck in the venture! I'll be updating you guys as I proceed.

Thanks everybody for sharing your knowledge,

Dave

Hi,it's good.How do you think,it's possible to transform tape signal to MIDI,'cous POLY800 haven't possibility of sysex transfer,but it's important function. I know only the way to add EX800 memory IC,if you interesting,I can send you material 'bout it. Alexandro.

Are there schematics for the 12/24 switch and detune mods anywhere?

Re: Hi everybody!

Don't think there are schematics for the 12/24. I may create one once
i'm done with the process... but i'll proceed slowly as i dont have
much spare time. Also my Poly has to undergo some other maintenance.
Will give it a whole new paintjob. Yesterday I fixed the joystick
which had been broken for ages. Also I took out every single key from
the keyboard for a full cleaning (had spray painted the keyboard smoe
years ago in an artistic frenzy) and for repairs (2 of the keys are
broken).

As regards the 12/24 I havent got the bookmark here but once Im at
home ill send you the link with the description (taken form this
group of course).

i've been fiddling with the detune pot (VR4). Unfortunately its kinda
fine tune setting. I hoped it would control the detune amount for
DCO 2 (parameter 32). So I'll be leaving that out.
