Please, be simple, I am Italian and I don't speak so well!
I use a program called Midisoft Recording Session, do I have to configure it?
Bye and thanks

You will need to use MIDI. You need an adaptor which connects MIDI
to your computer. This usually connects to your computer's joystick
port.

Be sure you have a tape with your poly-800 programs stored on it.
Sometimes connecting the poly-800 to a computer will erase the
programs.

Do you speak French? I could help you in French.

Hi Jonathan,
unfortunately I just speak Italian...!
I already bought a midi cable and I plugged it on the synth with
midi in and midi out cables, and then I connected it to my joystick
port, but nothing happened! I can't make them communicate! Maybe it's
a configuration problem! Can I store the program I use (zipped, of
course) in the files here in the forum? Maybe it can help!
Thanks again
Gerry

I had the same problem ;here's the solution.
Plug only one of the cables in at once.
ie.If you want input , plug in the in cable.
If you want output plug in the out cable.
The poly800 and ex800 dont have midi thru ,
so it wont work with both cables plugged in.

Thanks miriamthomas!!!

I will now see if it works, but I think so!
Thanks again
