If I'm > missing something I would like to know about it!! Thanks!! --Roger I guess you could do both. The advantage of the ALTs is you can bus anything in to the MOTU, midi or audio. But I think the direct ins would be better if you were recording multiple tracks of live audio. I forget if all the tracks have inserts on the Mackie, but the Motu has enough ins to do both. To be honest, when I had a Mackie , it was going into a stereo AMIII card so it made more sense to use the ALT bus, with the MOTU you have alot more options. Dave Lewis
