I have eight of the NYS-SPP-L patchbays, and they have been *completely* trouble free. I've never had any problem with them whatsoever. Is it possible that you're having problems with either your patch cords or the cables hooking things up from the back? You wouldn't happen to be using the old style telephone jack type patch cords that aren't designed for these bays, are you? BTW, I've got a no-smoking studio, and I do treat connectors with Caig Pro-Gold from time to time. Also, wasn't Rean bought out by some other company? Lee Blaske
