Hi Joeri, > You're buying a multiface, which has analog I/O, so why would you buy an > extra convertor for your SPDIF??? I don't understand the reasoning > behind that. Yes, I know about the analog I/O which I intend to fully take advantage of:-) I didn't understand exactly what SPDIF was. I had an idea it was in the realm of digital, but I didn't know if you needed an additional converter like you do for the ADAT optic signals. I originally used the wrong word "converter". What I meant to say was adapter. Like the kind you buy to adapt a RCA cable to a quarter inch imput. I didn't know if I could run a cable out of the SPDIF and put an adapter at the other end to make it a quarter inch plug and use it as additional in's and outs. I really have never come into cantact with SPDIF before. It's a pretty stupid question I know. I just had no clue. > Your multiface will most likely work like this: you can use the coaxial > connection for SPDIF and AES/EBU. You can also use the optical > connection for the SPDIF signal. This is how my Digiface works and how > the original Hammerfall also worked. RME is very flexible. What connects to this format? Thanks!! --Roger
