The RME's AD/DA's are GREAT, but quite expensive... mostly because they have such great specs and perfect analog circuitry. Well, I was going to buy the RME AD/DA as well, but then I looked at the price and saw that if I paid 3 times as much as the AD/DA, I'd have an entire digital desk. This desk doesn't only offer you AD/DA in good quality, but also gates, compressors and 4band EQ on every channel, so that's worth the investment. Next to that, I use it to control the audio mixing of Logic as well: I use its faders and knobs to control Logic and it works nicely. I'm happy with my setup and it works fine.
