Hi Murray! I personally chose the Fostex VC-8. It is 20 bit, up to 96 kHz. You can look up further Spec at http://www.fostex.co.jp/int/pages/products/access/cop2.htm. The quality of these converters is good enough for me. It has 8 I/O in Cinch (asymetrical), Adat I/O (lightpipe) and a Wordclock in. I bought them in Germany for 599 DM (ca. 194\ufffd, 309$). You also get symmetrical converts but they are nearly the double price, and I personnally do not have any cables exceding 5 meters and I have no problems with hum etc. My testing till now just says: What a great card and that the converters are also very good, looking at the price (IMO, they are not worse than those of the Motu 2408, and better than those of the Terratec EWS 88 MT) Hope this helps, Gilles > From: Murray McDowall <murraymc@...> > > I am interested in the Hammerfall too -- I would be interested to know what > a/d d d/a interfaces Hammerfall owners are going for.
